HARDI North America held their first national dealer meeting on August 9th & 10th. The meeting was used to announce the many new products that HARDI is releasing for the 2011/2012 season. During this meeting here in Davenport, IA we introduced many new products, some of which are now available from HARDI and some that will be available in the coming months. Major product introductions are taking place this August and many more will roll out in the coming months. Let’s take a quick look:

In February of 2011 HARDI chose the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, KY to introduce the concept of the 90’-60’ EAGLE DualFold boom. This 90’ boom was able to fold down to a 60’ spray swath for greater adaptability in the field. The 90’-60’ DualFold boom maintains its ability to half fold and spray as well. With this added flexibility in the field, HARDI has allowed the EAGLE boom to continue to prove why it is the industry standard in boom performance. On this same concept machine HARDI introduced a joint effort with ACE pumps with the 160+ gpm ACE 650 pump designed for HARDI quick couple S fittings and cast of stainless steel. The ACE 650 pump is equipped with Oasis Wet Seal technology allowing the pump to run dry. This pump is now available on NAVIGATOR and COMMANDER. This is the first hydraulic drive pump available on the COMMANDER line.

With the addition of the 90’-60’ DualFold and the popularity of the EAGLE boom, HARDI decided to add one more size with the introduction of the 120’-90’ EAGLE DualFold SPC. An all-new boom designed on the 15+ years of technology and field performance of the EAGLE utilizes the same trapeze suspension with added dual coil springs and dual shock absorbers. The 120’ DualFold is capable of a half-folded spray width of 90’. The 120’ boom was designed for use with optional NOARC automatic boom height controls. The 120’ SPC utilizes new boom plumbing that will start making its way to other sizes and HARDI booms. Along with nozzle plumbing the SPC projects have made way for HARDI to introduce Multi-Section plumbing. Most HARDI boom sizes will now have the option to be upgraded to Multi-Section plumbing (e.g. the 120’ boom can be equipped with 12 sections, the 60’ with 6 sections.) This introduction is especially useful for the farmer that runs GPS with automatic section control.

The third product introduction highlighted is the COMMANDER 10000. This 2,600 gallon juggernaut is the new standard in field capacity. With the ability to stay in the field longer and cover more acres between re-fills, the CM 10000 is designed for large acre applications. Introduced on the CM 10000 is Camoplast FlexHaul® tracks, allowing the CM 10000 to have the lightest footprint possible. Also introduced on the CM 10000 is the all new TERRA FORCE boom, designed for high speed application in the most rugged environments. The additions to the EAGLE boom family and the COMMANDER 10000 are just a few examples of the many introductions at the 2011 HARDI National Dealer meeting. Please pay close attention as it might be possible to miss one of the introductions!

Another product introduction that took place was the new SARITOR self-propelled sprayer. The SARITOR 4000 and 5000 will be made available for the 2012/2013 spraying season. The new 1050 gallon and the 1300 gallon machines will be standard with the new TERRA FORCE booms available up to 132 feet. The fluid pump is the new ACE 650 Oasis Wet Seal. The new HC9500 will control all spraying functions.

With products like COMMANDER, NAVIGATOR, RANGER and EAGLE and with the introduction of SARITOR, TERRA FORCE and DualFold, HARDI rounds out a product offering that proves why we are Your Sprayer Specialist!

HARDI North America also announced last week that it is expanding its manufacturing facility with a $3.6 million, 15,000-square-foot addition that will house a powder coating line, and SARITOR assembly line, creating 18 jobs.

By adding the powder coating line, Hardi plans to use more local companies to supply parts, according to Dale M. Szuminski, president of Hardi North America. Davenport employs 72 currently, he said. Szuminski said the building expansion could be completed this fall and the powder coating line should be up and running by late March.

"This is our first national dealers meeting we have held in Davenport," he said. "We have 65 dealerships represented from Canada and the United States with a total of 92 representatives."
